Peltz Shoes made a name for itself as a footwear retailer that embraces inclusive sizing. They offer more than 250,000 pairs of shoes in sizes ranging from a women’s 4 to a men’s 18 and widths ranging from super narrow to extra wide. Peltz sells both online and in brick-and-mortar stores.
THE PROBLEM
Peltz had come to realize that their business was limited by outdated technology. They needed their eCommerce website rebuilt and technology suite upgraded – and all before back-to-school season arrived. With so many product categories, it was imperative that the new site be able to handle product complexity and deliver a seamless omnichannel shopping experience for customers.
THE SOLUTION
To meet the back-to-school deadline, the Virid team rebuilt the Peltz site in just three months. During this time, they completed complex integrations with Imagine Retail, a legacy retail management system, and payment processor BrainTree. Virid also completed integrations with third-party marketplace systems to enable Peltz to sell across multiple channels.
With the help of Virid’s robust partner program, Peltz was able to reduce time spent reviewing third-party services, The Virid development team completed additional integrations with eCommerce vendors Cloudflare, Listrak, SearchSpring, and JASCI to strengthen Peltz’s technology stack.
THE IMPACT
After launching the new Peltz Shoes site, average page load times improved by 66%, eCommerce conversion rate increased by 15%, and average order value increased by 3.86%. The Peltz site was able to support more than 500 product attributes, and customers could also reserve items based on in-store availability, creating a true omnichannel customer experience.
